This session is dedicated to cryptogams in extreme environments. Works devoted to unravelling the mechanisms ruling extreme environments cryptogams’ functioning, reproduction or survival under such extreme conditions are welcome. We welcome studies about species interactions, their functions in the ecosystem (role in biogeochemical processes, hydrology, erosion or weathering) or their resilience in a context of global change.
